Its April 2019 and we have just come back from a three month trip to Australia.
No time to blog at all ,so I will buzz off to our advert on Glamping UK to update it!
Hopefully will find a minute to post more on this blog…..need to set this up before Easter!
Its 2018 and it began with an epic two month trip to Australia.
It was a journey worth recording , especially as I wanted to try a bit of photography.
I do like to try to find good images so I got very snap happy while we were away, I will try to add some of my favourites. I have to get to grips with icloud where they are stored!
The new header was chosen as so far its the only one I could download.Duh!!
Ah two more!
This blog has reached a statistic which makes me feel honoured, proud and in a way responsible. It has now had over 5000 views and we have 73 followers .I know other bloggers deliberately try to build up a following, and comparatively other blogs have far more, but this was never my intention. It is created to document a way of living for family or anyone else who is interested in the kind of crazy lifestyle we lead. I have found that bloggersfear is dominantly writers and photographers and I freely admit I enjoy having a go at both writing and taking photos.
This post then is just to say thank you to all those who pop by and join us in our journey through this somewhat fuddled life of ours. And also to say ย sorry if I do not keep up , especially with challenges and so forth. My diary is quite spasmodic too!
Just lately we have so much to attend to that something has to give , and during the summer time my blog does tend to get a bit neglected.
Occasionally I spend time perusing through my reader, it’s just like picking up a good magazine …. Finding out how all the blogs I follow are doing, and unfortunately don’t have time to stop by and comment. But I do still read them!
this week painting painting painting……..silo
Harvesting willow too…..
Need to put some seeds in .cleaning poly.
Planting more trees. Lots of trees. New paths.
Lovely catkins…. Must be spring.
Too much to do. Need to retire.
It was one of those ‘ must photograph evenings’ to night.
We woke to a heavy frost and the morning was very misty, Phil had just bought some waney edge timber for the Glamping loo and was happy to leave it on the trailer.
But I peeled myself off the sofa, where I have been for the winter and just before lunch we sauntered down the land, arm in arm. The sun had come out, and warmed us. Phil decided a bit reluctantly to do some sanding, feeling a spare part I went back to bring us tea and lunch in a carrier bag.
It was magical, picnicking by the pond in February! ย I do hope we get more days like this soon. In no time more sanding and painting got underway! Yea!
When the sun eventually went down on this lovely day, the sky was amazing!

Plus woman who passed geometry!! ย As in how to use a template when cutting out a circle.

Crazy or what? We went to a nearby farm auction to buy fencing. This silo was in the auction. We decided to bid on it it, seeing the potential, we thought we would go up to ยฃ300 . No one else was crazy enough to bid on it, so we got it for ยฃ30 !
